Meeting Haiku

This is haiku I wrote today in a large meeting room where the a/c is cranked up for some unknown reason.

Why would they turn up
the air-conditioning so high?
Cold as death, tomb-like.

Is it not enough
that we must sit pretending
interest in this?

Oh well. If we die
of boredom at this meeting,
at least we won't rot.

Hey Liz, no - I'm not coming and going in one day. Just ranting in a way that made it read that way. I'll be in nyc for about a month. Not sure of our plans yet, but that will all work itself out!
