Behold! The power of stickers.

Muffin Man woke up dry this morning but wanted a diaper on to go pee. "Go in the potty", say I.
"Diaper!"
"Well, alright. I'll go and get you a diaper, but you know, you don't get stickers for staying dry all night if you pee in a diaper. It just doesn't count unless you go in the potty."
"Diaper!"
"Okay, I'm going to get one. It's too bad you won't be getting any stickers this morning."

By the time I got back, he'd gone running to the bathroom and went in the toilet.

Stickers. Where would we be without them?

They are much better than cheese. Except, of course, for Wensleydale.

band-aids are even better than stickers.

Yeah for MM! He is really getting the hang of it. I bet you are thrilled and keep those stickers handy. I will have to remember that.

Band-aids are the best kind of sticker in our house.

In our house, you've got to be bleeding to get a bandaid, and the resulting shortage of bandaids (since most booboos don't bleed) does seem to give bandaids rather magical properties. Even the thought of a bandaid can sometimes stop sniffles. We also have a treasure chest which is pretty darn fun for rewards.

omg, a treasure chest! like the dentist--genius!!

Excellent! Good for MM! Now where's my picture?

Mmmmm, Wensleydale . . . . (I assume that was a Wallace and Gromit reference, Liz?)

Ding, ding, ding! Genevieve sooooo knows me.

Hey, didja all see that a new feature-length Wallace and Gromit is coming out in a couple of weeks?

It might be Muffin Man's first movie theatre experience!

Yay! I LOVE Wallace and Gromit! (Especially Feathers from "The Wrong Trousers!")

Did you know that you can go to the Wallace and Gromit site (www.wandg.com) and join the Gromit fan club? :)

I'll have to send you the picture of the clay figurine that my husband made for the Offspring of Gromit. It's a hoot!

("Not even Wensleydale?")

I did ssee the preview. We're planning to take the kiddos too.

We are eagerly awaiting The Curse of the Wererabbit. I could've gone to a preview Monday night with a Q&A with Nick Park himself! But it was too late to take J. on a school night, and I decided not to go by myself (I was pretty exhausted, too).

We have W&G figurines (and Wendolene and Preston and a penguin) and a little house that I bought on ebay for J's Hanukkah presents a couple of years ago.

He is so cute! Thank goodness for stickers : )

Stickers worked for my son for about 1 week; they have since lost the small amount of behavioral sway they possessed. But hooray once again for MM and his potty success!

I love experiencing potty training before I have to actually do it myself.

Stickers: Check.

Stickers worked better than anything else for us, too--even better than candy.
