Of your 28 you haven't seen, I've seen 9. I quite love Fargo. And yes, Dances with Wolves sucks.

I love your lists. They're so interesting. All About Eve is one of my top five movies of all time. It has a line I use all the time- "The heave ho!"

I can't wait to see it.

Wow, I can't believe how many movies on this list I *haven't* seen. And after watching AFI's 100 best movie quotes, my wife and I said we really needed to see Casablanca, Gone With The Wind, and some of the other classics.

Let's see... there are 17 I know I've seen (three of which I barely remember) and another five I *think* I've seen, or at least have seen significant parts of. I guess I need more culture! Of course there are two that I've seen as musicals (live) but never as a movie -- My Fair Lady and West Side Story -- so I guess I'm not THAT un-cultured. :)

Marc, are you telling me you've never seen Casablanca?????

I'm bringing it in tomorrow so you can watch it ASAP.

Nope... actually I haven't seen any of the top five. I know, I know... but we watch so much TV that we never have time to even rent movies, let alone watch all the stuff I've TiVo'd!

THere are only a few on this list that I've never seen. But there are quite a few that I have watched but only remember the slightest little bit about, like THe Treasure of the Sierra Madre. It makes me wonder whether there are some that I have just seen enough clips of that I think I've seen them.

And I totally agree with you and Jenn on that dreck Kevin Costner put out. Blech.

I would love to come to the movie night with you and APL. Those three are all awesome.

You've gotta see To Kill a Mockingbird, too. It is a little sappy, but really good.

I know Birth of a Nation was so innovative and revolutionary and all that, but does it really belong on a list like this one? I mean, it's nice that it established the close-up, but that doesn't mean it's one of the greatest movies of all time to anyone but a film historian.
