S asks...

What I'm doing expending this much energy...

Partly, it's that I have the time. If it doesn't get done now, it just won't happen.

Partly, I've been inspired by some of you folks. Everywhere I look it seems someone's painting or finally getting new floors or doing a huge garden or baking homemade bread or finishing knitting a hoodie.

So, I decided to just do it. And I'm getting lots of help from someone else who lives here.

When we moved into our house in Tampa, we painted literally every wall in the place except two bathrooms. And they needed it. But it was *so* worth it, and we did it ourselves, and the place looked so great. But best of all, we could tell so many stories about the painting process. You'll be so proud of what you've done, and I'm sure there will be a great story or two to go along with it. You rock! :)

Ugh, I was all keen about the painting when the weather turned warm. Was going to paint the entire house. Then I painted the bathroom, the smallest room in the house, and used up all my painting mojo.

You're re-inspiring me! Go girl!!

I'm impressed. Maybe I will be inspired to paint the bathroom this weekend---I bought the paint nearly a month ago!

But gardening doesn't take energy! Gardening is just digging! Gardening makes you less tired! And knitting happens sitting down, mostly.

I am also stunned by your follow-through. If we started a project like that we would still have paint cans in the dining room when Z. starts kindergarten.
