Vacation!!!

I've got a week off between classes!!

Plan:
  • Clean my room and toss old papers.
  • Cull through my clothes and bring what doesn't fit to The Resourceful Woman
  • Cull MM's clothes and books ditto.
  • Cook and freeze, cook and freeze.
  • Make fund-raising phone calls, send fund-raising e-mails.
  • Figure out a way to be less cryptic about what I'm fund-raising for without being Googleable.
  • Read non-school-related books.
  • Do a mug or two.

Google is in danger of losing its trademark, according to the professor of my just-completed ethics class, btw. It's becoming a verb!

Funny - it feels like "google" became a verb overnight. I didn't know that could cause you to lose your trademark though.

Yup. If it becomes a generic word (like aspirin did, and cola), you lose the right to use it as a trademark.

I did not know this - but I would agree that google is now a verb. Oh yeah.

I didn't know that about trademarking. But of course googling is now a generic term. I had to think a little bit to come up with another way to express that idea!

I had no idea but google has certainly become a word.

Whee! for some time off!

Enjoy! You sure earned it with all the hard work you've been putting in.

I doubt that will ever actually happen (from a legal sense). After all, has Kleenex lost its trademark?

Besides, wasn't "google" a verb, or at least an adjective (i.e. google-eyes) long before Google existed?
