Apple Pigs, revisited

A couple years ago I wrote a post about a book from my childhood, "Apple Pigs". Today, I sent it with MM to school (because today's Show and Share assignment was "a healthy apple snack" and...um...I sent a store-bought apple turnover. I figured sending the book would make up for the un-healthy-ness.)

It was a hit.

I also sent two apples and some tooth picks.

Miss MomOfTwins, MM's teacher MADE AN APPLE PIG using the instructions in the back of the book.

I'm kicking myself for not taking a picture.

As someone buried under a pile of prep work, I might just try out this apple pig for my uni class.

They'd like it, yes?

We read "How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World" this week. You might enjoy that one, too!

I can't find that book anywhere! I'm searching and searching! And it sounds charming.

I have been searching for a copy of this book without success. A few years ago there was a copy for sale on e-bay for $80.00!!! Anyway, I didn't buy it. My oldest daughter was born in 1976 and we must have taken that book out of the library 20 times. Fond memories. Vera, in Fairfax, Va
