And he had a blast. He knew he was in for a good day when he walked in and the letter of the day was his favorite one. "That's the first letter of MY NAME!!!"
Then he went to Art (chickens with yellow crumpled paper feathers), and then Spanish (parehas(sp?)), and then Gym (he showed off his skill at somersaults). Lunch was tacos. That's when he decided it was okay to let me leave to go to work (I'd been leaving him for long periods during the morning "making phonecalls")
When I came back to pick him up, he was playing in the kitchen area (straight out of Pottery Barn Kids - my God, the microwave!), and he didn't want to leave.
"We'll come back tomorrow, Sweetie."
"Promise?"
"I promise. This is going to be your school for a long, long time."
I love MM! So glad that he likes his new school.
