Mr. Spock was at work from 8 til 5 today, so Muffin Man and I kept each other company. I admit I wasn't the best of company for a friendly, sweet, active 4-year-old today...I had some reading to do for one class (while MM watched The Incredibles) and an on-line assignment due at noon today in another (which I finally decided I could do faster if MM were NOT popping in and out of his room where he was supposed to be having Quiet Time so I let him play on his computer. I posted the assignment a couple of hours late...oh well) And then MM and I went out for a spot of luncheon. And then we listened to "NO!" by TMBG and then I let him play on Disn3y.com while I took a shower and got dressed and then Mr. Spock came home. I gave them both kisses and then...
I went out. To dinner. And a movie. With Two Lovely Neighbor Women.
We ate at Sweetwater's (tex-mex eggrolls and short smoked grilled salmon salad) and went to see Failure to Launch (which I found fluffy and hysterically funny - though Matthew McConneghy's teeth are frighteningly perfect.)
It was fabulous. They called and invited me this morning. We had a great time.
Glad you had a fun day! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had fun out with the girls!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds great! The Attorney and OD worked yesterday, and YD was at a friend's house, so on of my buddies came over and we watched women's college hoops all afternoon. It was fun!
ReplyDeleteI was at Sweetwater on Saturday too, although very early since we had to get home to rescue Mia from the horror of being babysat by my parents.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great evening!
ReplyDeleteOh, it's nice to go out with grown-ups, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteEvenings out with my friends kept me sane when my kids were little.
Sounds like a great night out. His teeth are sort of freaky perfect, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteMmmm, you posts tend to make me hungry. Part of that could be having a husband still a little too far away to cook for me.
ReplyDeleteSoon!
xoxo
