The search for the perfect chocolate cake recipe

So far, we've tried:

Joy of Cooking Rombauer Special(meh)
Sky High Cakes Triple Fudge (Whoa! Chocolatey! Even though I probably overbaked it - this is definitely the front-runner)
How To Cook Everything (Are you sure you put chocolate in that?)

Up next, Sky High Cakes Devil's Food.

Any of you have a favorite chocolate cake recipe you want to share?

Also, do you have a vanilla frosting recipe you like?

Fudgy Chocolate Layer Cake--from Bon Appetit 2001, the RSVP section.
You can get the recipe by going to epicurious.com and searching by that title.
We use instant decaf coffee instead of instant espresso--just add a bit more than called for.

Best....ever!!!!!
Yum!!!!!

I have not made this cake, myself, but I trust Ree implicitly. She has never steered me wrong.

I have a recipe called "Mile High Chocolate Cake". I'll email it to you. It's divine!

I like a beetroot chocolate cake, but I'm pretty sensitive to caffeine and my favourite recipe has 300g of dark chocolate in it. A slice of that can bet me badly wired...the beetroot and chocolate is a great combo, and the cake takes on a really cool blood-red chocolate colour. I'll see if I can find the recipe for you.
