Now that makes for a great week!
It's a great week--Iowa, Vermont, and DC (which will recognize marriages from other states). I just got an inkling that there may be a legislative backlash in Iowa, though, so I'm off to investigate at http://www.oneiowa.org/web/ That part's a bit of a downer.
From what I've read, even if the Iowa legislature tries to overturn the ruling, it will take several years to get through the lengthy process. By that time inertia and demographic drift make it less likely to be changed. For statistical analysis see:
