Bleh. That's quite a list! Didn't you folks have it last spring? We got vaxed a few weeks ago (well, me and the mister, they're not doing kids here yet) as we're hoping for a trip to the US in Jan, and he's there now.
MM had it in the Spring. I had something else.
The US definitely is experiencing a recurrence of it.
Thank you! While I am not swinish, I am recovering from my second car accident (passenger both times, other driver at fault both times) in a month. So I have been reading comforting books, including your Georgette Heyer recommendations, and Frederica was one of my favorites. Haven't read the other.
Can also recommend Eva Ibbotson's "A Countess Below Stairs," and (partway through but it's great so far) Kate Ross's "A Cut To The Quick".
And Agatha Christie's autobiography is a terrific comfort read as well.
