It was old home week on Doctor Who. Sarah Jane Smith showed up and berated the Doctor and there was a great scene between her and Rose. Just splendid. And Anthony Stewart Head (Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) had a guest role as well. Total geek paradise. Really lovely.
And the new Doctor is growing on me, though I'm still missing the guy from last season.

That episode totally rocked. And I didn't know you were an ASH fan. Seen lIttle Britain? Did you also know that he really is a musician? I have a CD of his....weird 80s style electronica.
As for Doctor WHo, I haven't enjoyed either of these recent seasons. For me, the joy of Dr Who was how slowly the adventures unfolde: ½ an hour; once a week; 4-6 episodes> it was incredibly slow moving, but incredibly moving. I had a conversation with a friend the other day about a character who appeared in one of the adventures (Sorensen), and his anti-matter pit... that episode was Tom Baker one, and hasn't been on TV here for a long time (until the ABC ran the ENTIRE Dr Who collection 2 years ago before the first new one) blah blah blah
Did I ruin the surprise for you when I talked about Sarah Jane Smith and K-9 in the other comment I left...???
(Oh-no!)
