He stayed in his old room all day yesterday and is in the new room with the new teacher today (new for him, she's been at the school for years). He sobbed when I left him there, but I went down the hall and waited and the sobbing stopped. I watched the class on the tv in Miss Director's office and could see him moving around, clutching his two stuffed dogs (Big Worf and Little Worf). I hope he does okay today.
Sigh.
Thank you all for your good thoughts yesterday. I feel so petty obsessing about this after what Katrina did to Louisiana and Mississippi.

I hope he does okay today. I'm sure that he will once he realizes that the new room is where he is going to be. I am so sorry that you are having to deal with this; I know it tugs at your heart.
You are not petty, but I understand the feeling. I felt that way posting my good news, when there is so much bad news coming out of the south every minute.
Oh, I love the dog names!
Welcome Sherry! Glad to have you pay a visit! How are your two bundles?
You are not petty. Of course we worry about our families--we can even do both at the same time. You are just a mom whose heart hurts when your little guy cries. It will get better in time.
Glad Muffin Man is okay. He sounds adorable.
Those transitions are tough. Glad things were a bit better today.
He is your child. You are his mother. You are supposed to obsess about his emotional well-being. Not petty at all. ((hugs))
